Our History
The Sociedad Unión Lírica Pinosense was founded in 1929 in the town of Pinoso, province of Alicante, Spain. Since its beginnings, the society has been a cornerstone of Pinoso's cultural life, training generations of musicians and offering concerts, parades and performances at local and regional festivities.
With over a century of history, our band keeps the musical tradition alive while incorporating new repertoires and techniques. It currently comprises 60 musicians under the direction of Alberto García Izquierdo.
The society also has a music school where future band musicians are trained, from musical initiation through to advanced instrumental studies.
